Dr. Michael Bates, DDS, brings decades of experience in general dentistry to Creekside Dental, serving the Brazos Valley community. With a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental services, Dr. Bates is excited to help patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles.

Dr. Bates began his journey in healthcare with a strong foundation in science and patient care. He earned:
✔ Bachelor’s Degree – Texas A&M University (Class of 1987)
✔ Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) – UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry (1993)
With over 28 years of experience in a busy corporate dental office in San Antonio, Dr. Bates has treated a wide range of dental needs, from preventive care and restorative treatments to cosmetic dentistry.
Professional Career & Military Service
Dr. Bates has spent nearly three decades practicing dentistry in San Antonio, near Helotes, where he provided comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Bates proudly serves in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, where he holds the rank of Colonel at the 433d Airlift Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. His dedication to service and leadership extends beyond the dental chair, ensuring that military personnel receive exceptional care.
